Full vs. Platform

Full

Definition: Designed for users who require full access to standard CRM and AppExchange apps. Users with this user license are entitled to access any standard or custom app. This type of user can be issued to access to all Standard and Custom objects. 

B Lab: Users are able to access Leads, Campaigns, Opportunities, Pardot Lightning, and all custom objects. This type of license is given to System admins, Business development users, and marketing team for example.


Platform 

Definition: Designed for users who need access to custom apps but not to standard CRM functionality. Users with this user license are entitled to use custom apps developed in your organization or installed from AppExchange. Plus, they’re entitled to use core platform functionality such as accounts, contacts, reports, dashboards, documents, and custom tabs. These users aren’t entitled to some user permissions and standard apps, including standard tabs and objects such as forecasts, leads, campaigns, and opportunities. 

Users with a Salesforce Platform user license can access all the custom apps in your organization

B Lab:  Users are able to access Accounts, Contacts, and custom objects like Reviews and Assessments. Users may need to request increased access if they need access to objects like cases. If you have a platform license you will not be able to access Pardot Lightning like "Full" users, however, you can still access pardot via pi.pardot.com.

Grant this permission set to end users that indirectly cause the rollup summaries to be executed. Such users can only read the rollup summary definitions, logs and scheduled entires.
