Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)

April 1st marked the first day that the Emergency Paid Sick Leave and Family and Medical Leave Acts become effective. These policies are part of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act passed by Congress and signed by President Trump on March 24th. They provide paid leave to employees forced to miss work specifically because of the COVID-19 outbreak and are effective through the end of this year.
